Wildlife
The Members farms', and the site at Biggleswade have a high commitment to Wildlife and Conservation projects to improve the local environment and raise awareness of the many positive conservation developments within the farming community.
Regular contributions have been made to support the work of the Wildlife Trusts' project at Old Warden Tunnel, Bedfordshire which provides an important habitat for bats and a rare pyramidal orchid. Additional funding has supported clearing rubbish and debris from the site, and assisted controlled grazing of the traditional grass banks to encourage the orchids and wild flowers.
At the Packhouse site herons, wild duck, moorhens, rabbits, and occasional deer are seen on quiet evenings on land adjacent to the buildings. The baby leverets were born in an Onion crop at Cardington, near Bedford.
