There is a huge opportunity for British Growers to try and replace this staple shopping basket product with a more local and environmentally sustainable option.   

We have had really encouraging trials of both Orange Flesh and White flesh varieties grown from slips, we are lucky in our area to have a range of soil types from sand to quite heavy textured enabling a wider variety selection opportunity. We hope to have our first commercial production ready for Autumn 2022.
